Gemineye - "What are you fighting for"

  1. I really liked this poem because of its topic, how people would do such that will end up killing them or inside a jail cell for the rest of their lives. I think swearing in this poem made the message more vivid because those words are intertwining in the words such as gangs and drugs. One thing that stood out to me was how he used the when he says “stand in miss a fist in a battlefield among an army of red and an army of blue” I think this phrase means more than just gangs and violence on the streets because this cloud also define war, the only difference from gang violence and war would be that war approved of by the nation. I think this is poetry because it expresses his feelings towards the topic he is talking about, he uses rhymes and ends it off with a question witch gets the person lessening something to think about when it is over.
